Dark Age of Sigmar: Against the Darkness
I like to imagine that the Dark Age of Sigmar is filled with grim survivors eking out a living in the inhospitable landscapes of the mortal realms (as evidenced by my previous battleplan). These villagers take shifts stoking the fires that protect them from the encroaching darkness each night, keeping the horrors that dwell there at bay. Sometimes, though, the things in the dark are worse than the occasional Chaos Spawn, or other twisted abomination that can be shot down with crossbows and put to the torch come morning.

Tallpox
When summoning Daemons, it's easy to make mistakes. When Wex the Pustulent first attempted to summon a Plaguebearer of Nurgle, his faith shook for momentarily. He stumbled over the words of the incantation and, when he finished, a mangled and broken mound of flesh and bones lay on the ground before him.

The Shepherds of Rot
The Shepherds of Rot began as a band of beasts and drovers who roamed the Vale of Efengie searching for Nurgle's favoured pets. They were formed under the leadership of the good-natured (but obnoxious) Larvulous, Gadfly of Nurgle, but have since expanded into a loose coalition of warbands that fight together at times.

Dark Age of Sigmar: Quests
I have also come up with a new narrative mechanic for the "Heart of Darkness". When you create your warband, if you'd like, you can send them on a Quest. For example, shown below is a warband roster for "(General Name) and the Lake of Blood". A Quest is a special warband roster that includes rules that may replace some of your normal Allegiance abilities, and present challenges to your warband that show its story progression and eventually lead them to either success or failure.

Dark Age of Sigmar: The Reaping
Here is the first battleplan in "Heart of Darkness", the Dark Age of Sigmar supplement I'm constructing for AoS Skirmish. For this battle, you'll need some frantic survivors to flee from the horrors of the night.

Dark Age of Sigmar: Mutations and Injuries
Previously, I discussed the Artefacts tables from my Dark Age of Sigmar project I'm working on. Today, I want to show off two more tables; one for Mutations, and another for Injuries.
Mutations and Injuries are both staples of classic Warhammer. In Heart of Darkness, Mutations will be treated as Artefacts, and they can be taken by any model. The idea here is to give players options to express their outlandish conversions more fully on the battlefield. This way, the tentacles, extra arms, and so forth can be represented in a model's rules if the players wish it.

Review: The Punisher
Just finished Netflix's "The Punisher" series a few days ago, and I must say that I was very impressed. In the run up to its release, I saw many posts and articles raising concerns that Frank Castle couldn't be a good protagonist because he was just too far over the line, that he wasn't nuanced enough, and that the whole thing would just be a 13 episode bloodbath. I am pleased to say that the writers sidestepped all of those concerns and made what I thought was one of the best seasons of their Marvel shows so far.
