Twelve Days of Sigmarisnacht
Hey Everybody! I'm running my first Global Narrative Event, Twelve Days of Sigmarisnacht (December 1 - December 12). It's really easy to participate, all you need to do is find a friend, play this battleplan (you might want to get them a gift), and report your results here.
You can also follow the Sigmarisnacht Facebook page for updates and information about this and future Sigmarisnacht events!

Narrative Toolbox 1: Storygaming
I have been running monthly narrative Age of Sigmar events for the past 3 years (just by counting the battleplans in my campaign books, I have planned and run at least 30 Game Day events). This is the first part of a narrative toolbox for other NEOs to draw from to hopefully learn from my experiences and further build the technology of narrative event design.

Dadhammer Junior!
So I got my kiddo the First Strike starter when he was about 4, and we've been playing some super-simplified 40k now and again. Now that he's a little older, I felt like he needed a bit more structure, and something that he could read and reference for himself (rather than just doing whatever I said "the rules" were). So I devised... DADHAMMER 40,000!

Astra Militarum Conscripts
I received a request in the comments for an Astra Militarum Conscripts warscroll. Ask and ye shall receive! These guys are dirt cheap at 100 points per 20 of them, and can be taken in units of 20 to 60. However, not only are they bad at shooting people with their surplus lasguns, they are also more cowardly than ordinary guardsmen. Plus, they have a pretty good chance of ignoring any command abilities you try to use on them. What are they good for? Meat shields mostly, also running away.
Additionally, it was requested that the Infantry Squad Sergeant be able to be equipped with a Laspistol and Sword. So I made a shiny new warscroll to cover that option as well. Enjoy!

The Plaguesworn Hunt
This project taught me a few things about fattening up lithe, muscular models. I chunked them up by adding green stuff to the thighs and underarms.

AoS Game Day: The Treasure of Thindrongol Nuk
For something completely different, in July we had a skirmish(ish) Game Day.
"When the Necroquake rocked Efengie, it disrupted the Penumbral Engine concealing one of Sigmar’s Stormvaults; a sprawling subterranean duardin labyrinth with a single inscription over its gateway, “Thindrongol Nuk”. A few days ago, a bandit hiding out in the Painted Spires stumbled upon the vault. Although she returned to Reaper with the intention of gathering a crew, word travels fast in Efengie."

Throwback Thursday: inq28
I've lately been really inspired by all of the great blanchitsu, inq28, and aos28 stuff I see online. I love making bizarre conversions, and am trying to broaden my horizons with regard to painting styles, so it's fun to see what other people are doing. However, I'm actually no newcomer to inq28. I bought the Inquisitor rulebook when it came out (I was a high school freshman) and played a fair bit of it with my brother. I also had the Daemon Hunters and Witch Hunters army books and was inspired by the conversions sections in the back of them.
Anyhow, I dug out some of my old warband models and got photos of them! They're not great, I was like... 16, but it's kind of fun to see what i was up to all the way back then.
This first picture is of Inquisitor Heep (a play on Uriah Jacobus), a weird servitor thing I made, a Necromunda ganger, and a zealot.

Shadespire: Slaugrik's Exiles
Slaugrik detested this place. It disgusted him and left him unsettled. A city of death went against everything the new god stood for. It was static and cold, rather than caught in an endless cycle of death and rebith. He never thought he would, but tonight, he wished for the corrosive skies of his homeport, Barak Thag.

40k Warscrolls: Imperial Allies
A project that has been on my to-do-list for a while now is warscrolls for the contents of the Rogue Trader box as well as the characters from Warhammer Quest: Blackstone Fortress. I've completed the Imperium half of it (haven't even started the Gellerpox warscrolls yet). The warscrolls are now available as part of the Battletome-Imperium on the 40k warscrolls page.
First up is the Rogue Trader him/herself! My favorite thing about this one is the "Loaded for Zoat" ability. The Inquisitors all have a keyword that they hate, and I thought it'd be fun for the Rogue Trader to have a personal problem with Monsters. Of course, their real strength lies in the Warrant of Trade, which allows the Rogue Trader to bribe enemy units into submission!

Rogue Traders also get the same Allegiance treatment as the Inquisitors. They plunder all over the galaxy and so can take Command Traits and Artefacts from any army!

AnimosityI
Last weekend I ran one of the many Animosity events that took place around the world. You can read up on it at www.animositycampaigns.com if you're interested in learning more, but I'll review some of its interesting facets below!

The Soulless Seas pt. 4
Last weekend, I ran A Storm on the Soulless Seas, the climax of Game Day Season 5. We had a lot of fun and learned a few things about my homebrew naval battle rules.

Allegiance Bloodpact of Kytos
I've been working on the campaign book compilation of the last 5 months of the Efengie Campaign. I try to come up with new content for each one, so for example, books 1&2 have Time of War rules, book 3 has the Colossal Red raid, and book 4 has experimental Regions of War rules. In book 5, I'm going to include Allegiance abilities to represent some of the nation-states of Ennarvia (the continent Eucebium is part of) that were introduced in this season.

Grog-Sothoth Awakens
Smitty Cystongue twisted and turned and cried out in his sleep. His dreams were haunted by visions of something horrible lurking at the edges of reality, clawing at his sanity. It bore likeness to his old Captain Grog, but he knew it was something new. It called itself the dread pirate Captain Grog-Sothoth. Returned from the realm of the dark gods of chaos, it called to Smitty. He awoke feverish and sweating, his boils pulsing and irritated, with one last lingering image burned into his mind.

Shadespire: Slurrghag’s Sloughnecks
I have finally completed my wacky conversion of the final warband in Season 1 of Shadespire! Hooray! I have converted Ironskull's Boyz to Slurrghag's Sloughnecks, chaos warriors of Nurgle.

The Soulless Sea pt.3 - Pirates!
Got this map from a wizened duardin, claimed to have been born before chaos took the realms, not that I'd believe an old pirate. Anyhow, a story come with it, one that was too good to be true, but it might just be.

The Soulless Sea pt. 2
I've managed to get in a few test battles with the Soulless Seas rules for naval battles. I had one with Nurgle vs. Seraphon, and a second that was three players with Nurgle, Seraphon, and Stormcasts. We've been using hills as warship stand-ins where needed. This one I've dubbed the "Earthship Ghya".

Review: Flesh-Eater Courts Battletome 2.0
I'm back, with a second review of the Flesh-Eater Courts Battletome, but the new one. That's right, even though I never post pictures of Flesh-Eater Courts minis, that's one of the armies I play! Anyhow, I'm not actually going to apply number scores to anything, you're just going to have to read it to find out what I think.

Larvulous' Return
Larvulous, Gadfly of Nurgle pushed open the gnarlmaw's jaws, climbed out, and dusted the rich, cloying soil from his robe. He yanked on his chain and dragged his nurgling peon from its rest in Nurgle's garden.
"Aww, boss, I was nappin'," the nurgling sassed. His insubordination was met with a firm backhand from Larvulous. Two plaguebearers followed him out of the gnarled tree's gaping maw.

The Soulless Sea pt.1
I'm attempting to organize a nautical themed Game Day for May set off the coast of Eucebium in the Soulless Vortex. I still haven't pinned down all of the rules yet (although I'll share some beta rules in this post), but I have finished making my first batch of ships for the event.

Archduke Marrow-Gnawer’s Royal Guard
Another day, another Shadespire warband. I've actually done all of the season 1 warbands except for Ironskull's Boyz now! (I haven't bought them yet, but I have plans to convert them into a Nurgle warband) This time I've transformed the Skaven warband into Flesh-eater Courts.

Efengie Campaign: The Dawning of a New Age (of Sigmar)
The fifth season of the Efengie Campaign has begun! In the past, players have told me that they'd like to see a continuation of the Efengie storyline (rather than expand to other mortal realms), so I figured I'd expand by taking a look at the larger world around Eucebium. In the first Game Day of season 5, Eucebium has been dragged into a long-raging war between the neighboring regions of Kytos and Lamellia!

40k Warscrolls: Space Ork Flyers
Space Orkz have now been updated to include the new Speed Freek units as well as Flyers! All of these warscrolls are now up for download at the 40k warscrolls page. My favorite of the flyers is the Wazbom Blastajet, because it's ridiculous. I had my own take on it adding the Kustom Job rule that lets you choose what type of preposterous upgrades the Big Mek has made. Kustom Force Field may be the smart choice, but who could say no to the amazing Ramming Prow?!

Bar-Zhagg’s Grot Slaves
The dawi zharr Daemonsmith Bar-Zhagg has been on a slave capturing mission in the Painted Spires of Efengie. He and his enforcer Druzgul have managed to collect 5 grot slaves and 2 squigs to accompany them on their quest in the damned city of Shadespire.

40k Warscrolls: Speed Freekz
Space Orkz got a bunch of exciting new models recently, so I figured it was time to update the Space Orkz battletome! Speed Freekz are now a sub-faction of Space Orkz. They've got their own leader in the Deffkilla' Wartrike, six battleline units (Warbuggies, Warbikerz, and all the new buggies), and can also bring Battlewagons.
